I honestly don't know where we're staying. I know that my wife looked it up...asked if I liked it...I said yes. I must've been on autopilot, because the only details I remember are that there will be a beach involved, and that we have a kitchen in the condo? apartment? hotel? where we're staying.buxfan4life;1907381; said:Used to drive to HH once a year from Columbus. I always took RT 23 to Chilicothe, where I picked up 35 into WVA and I-64 over to I-77.
This was 8-10+ years ago and it was faster by about 20mins than 33 at that time.
Where are you staying in HH? First time there? Was just there a couple of weeks ago. I can give you suggestions on places to eat, golf, etc. if you want.

First to HH. First time to that part of the country, except for the occasional layover in Atlanta.
Thanks for the tip about the route. 23 and 33 have had so much construction over the last ten years, I wonder if 23 is still faster, and 33 is still a cluster.

Google maps has that as the fastest and shortest (mileage) route, but my wife and I both have an unreasonable hatred of stop lights. Does US 33 go through a lot of towns, or is it pretty much 4+ lane highway all the way through? If it's 2 lanes for any significant distance, or goes through a half dozen towns, I'll probably just take I-70 all the way to I-77. That way over 700 of the 726 miles will be interstate. The I-70 to I-77 route adds ~30 minutes to the trip, but what's 30 minutes when you're already driving 12+ hours?
