Underclassmen Declare For 2008 NBA Draft

Here's my take: he's to small to play the 2 and he doesn't have the ball handling or passing skills (not to mention the unselfishness) to play the point. He's like Devin Brown, without the defensive prowess.

I agree that he is a 2g all the way...But he has great athleticism to make up the 2 inches or so that he may be missing and he has the strength to be able to compete, and once again his athleticism will allow him to be a solid defender...Not sure what I project in terms of star status and numbers, but I don't think he is going to be a failure...I see him starting somewhere next year and getting 20-25 minutes per game...

:shake:I think you really need to go and watch Gordon play some more basketball because I cannot believe what you are saying

If Gordon doesn't become more consistent, he's going to need to teach himself to accept being a role player. If he can't do either, he'll have a short career ala Dajuan Wagner.
I at least foresee a rookie year similar to Daequan Cook's. I agree that if Gordon contiues down his current path...then it will be a very short journey.

Slightly off topic, how does Buford's game compare to Gordon's? Similar?

Gordon has more athletic ability...Buford relies more on his midrange game than Gordon who is three or layup at this stage in his game...

I also think that Buford has a better shot and pull up game...Also Buford has a inch on Gordon, but Gordon has the better upper body stregth which is something that Buford still has a good amount of...

I'm sure I've seen him play more times than you have. By the way, I'm obviously not the only one on the board who thinks Gordon may not have a even a solid NBA career.

And in related news, buckeyesin07 can also jump higher, run faster, think quicker, AND piss further than LitlBuck. He is faster, stronger, better than ever before... just like the $6 million Man.:p

Looked like a two way street to me. I don't think that buckeyesin07 was thumping his chest anymore than litlbuck was. Although it does seem that both are being pretty ridiculous in the delivery method that they chose for their opinions.

Please see my post #43 in this thread... thank you.

Please also see your childish post #47, which came before my (admittedly equally childish) post #52. Thank you.
I was simply trying to support my opinion, and this guy, instead of responding by supporting his opinion, instead chooses to insult me.

Who's calling him a superstar?
Nobody, that's the point. You were implying we'd think he was going to be a lot better in the NBA had he been a Buckeye which isn't the case. I'd be skeptical of a 6'7-6'8 power forward either way. He's got a chance to be a solid NBA player, a Joe Smith type, but he won't ever be the focal point of the NBA team he's on.

Gordon can make $15 million just with that first step. He is absolute lightning getting past defenders, its incredible.

Derrick Rose is lightning fast and will be special in the NBA. Gordon is a step slower, and that's really all it takes to be ordinary in the league.

I'm sorry, but I fail to see how an inconsistent 6'2" shooting guard will be a star in the league. It's not like we're talking about Allen Iverson here. And there is one common theme when it comes to college stars that are not NBA superstars: You have to accept being a role player averaging less than 15 ppg if you want to play on a team that's not drafting in the lottery. Can Eric Gordon?
