UF OL Ronnie "Taz" Wilson (official thread)

Hey Everyone

I hope you guys are satisfied with the players you'll picked up. I'm happy with who we have coming in but I just stop by to show you guys that i'm still hanging around and reading the board.

We are very pleased with our class this year and next year's looks like it is off to a fast start. I think most everyone would agree that losing you to Florida hurt pretty bad, but we're excited about the prospects of you having a fantastic career as a Gator. Coach Meyer got a slow start on recruiting because of his late hiring, but he turned out a very good class and I think your group will be a big part of Florida's rise back to national prominince.

I'm glad you are still hanging around and checking the board every once in awhile. I can't imagine too many people would continue to check out another school's message board after signing. It shows your character and how well your parents have done in raising you.

Also, I am interested to know the status of your injury. Have you been back in for surgery? If so, how is your rehab coming along? Best of luck in the healing process...keep your spirits up, you'll be back and pancaking D-lineman before you know it.

Your continued interest in this board is awesome... we'd love to hear some viewpoints from yourself and others at UF in some topics in the future. I know many of us are interested in tracking your career, as well as our curiosity into how Coach Meyer handles your team and the success he has. Thanks for your continued interest and good luck down there!

Always nice to have you stop by. Please make sure you let us know how classes and practices are going. We will definitely watching your career at Florida.

Kick Florida State and Miami's a** while you're down there. Best of Luck

No kidding. Taz, you've definitely got a lot of us here in the Buckeye state who will be pulling for Florida for some time. Urban Meyer is going to have that program past Miami and FSU while you're there, and it's going to be great for you guys to be part of that. Good luck!

Really felt this is great place for my 100th post. Everytime Taz posts I get more frustrated with the fact we didn't get this kid. I can't speak for him of course, but although I am sure he is happy at UF I can't help but think he would rather be here. I have never spoken to him personally but he is certainly one of the most classy players I have witnessed. I am glad you can be close to your family because we can all see that they did a wonderful job in raising a man that will have tons of success at anything he puts his mind to. Good luck TAZ. Rest assured you'll have many Buckeyes rooting for you every week.

Update

I'm still on crutches for about a week and a half and my rehab is going great. I've lost about 30lbs in month and a half so I've very impressed with my achievements so far. Other than that everything is good, when I get my grades I'll be sure to let you guys know how I'm doing.

The weight loss will sure help your rehabilitation after the injury. I imagine your foot speed will increase.

On another note, has anyone on the coaching staff discussed playing you at defensive tackle as well? I remember you were just as dominating on defense as offense. If they gave you a choice, do you have a preference? I am also assuming your injury all but guarentees a redshirt the first year?

Good luck with the rehab. I'm happy to hear about your weight loss, I'm sure it will have you feeling better once you are back on your feet and it will probably help prevent continued injuries.
