Area sports briefs: Five nominated for All-American Bowl
Thursday, August 26, 2004 SAN ANTONIO — Five Stark County high school football players were nominated to play in the fifth annual U.S. Army All-American Bowl to be played Jan. 15 at the Alamodome.

McKinley’s Antwon Hight and Brad Jones; GlenOak’s Brian Hartline and Brandon Long; and Alliance’s Kendell Davis are among 400 players from all 50 states who could be selected for the game.

ESPN Sports and USA Today contributer Tom Lemming will select the 78 finalists to be invited. The noon kickoff is scheduled to air on NBC.
