I didn't realize that Andrei Arshavin got into a verbal argument with a Russian fan in the hotel lobby (following Russia's loss to Greece).

Good thing Russia isn't North Korea. I believe those North Koreans were sentenced to labor camp after the 2010 World Cup.

I haven't looked too hard, but I'm surprised that UEFA (<Platini>) hasn't drafted up a statement yet defending the extra-official system and/or saying that John Terry clearance was not a clear goal.

More than likely, the UEFA statement would include:

1) Goal-Line Technology is not available in all countries (so it's bad).
2) Controversy is good for the game of football.

But...anything that makes Michel "Winter World Cup" Platini look dumber than he already is makes me feel good.

Ian Holloway's rips of Platini are missed (since Blackpool isn't in the Premiership).
