I give up on making an effing table. As it stands, Czech Republic would be group winners & Greece would be 2nd place.

Not a good card at all. Better argument could be made for a foul but probably should've just been a no call.

I thought for sure that Poland would be good for a draw with the Czech Republic if it were neutral field, and that playing on their home soil they'd be able to get three points and advance. Instead, they had about 15 minutes of inspiration then crashed like a kid coming down from a sugar buzz.

Meanwhile, Greece has looked like the worst of the group in the round robin, and they're going through. Russia has looked like the best, and they are eliminated. It should be noted that if this were FIFA rules rather than UEFA, Russia would have won the tiebreaker for second. They knew the scenario though, and their play was dismal for a side that was supposedly the class of the group.

You never know what will happen in this game, but neither of the surviving teams showed me anything that makes me think they'll stand a chance against whoever emerges from Group B.

I'm positive the blonde, female Greek fan in the tank top (in the first row) got more air time than either Greek or Russian coach, but not as much as Laura Quinn in the 2006 Fiesta Bowl.

Couldn't tell if she was in her 20's, 30's or 40's (those could've been her kids flanking her).

I think what really hurt Russia was not changing it up enough. IIRC, they ran the same Starting XI in all three matches. Recipe for disaster, IMO.

My biggest beef: Not starting Pavlyuchenko in one of those three games.

I was hoping the knock-out stages would be worth double points so I would have a chance to catch you :biggrin:... but that is not the case.
