Just predicted the winners and runners' up from each division, and simulated out the knockout phase to the finals.

Group Winners:

A. Russia
B. Germany
C. Spain
D. France

Runners up:

A. Greece
B. Netherlands
C. Italy
D. Sweden

Knockout Phase:

Russia-Netherlands.... Got Netherlands winning this one.

Spain-Sweden.. Spain with the easy win.

Germany-Greece... Germany by a touchdown.

France-Italy... Italy in a close game.

Final 4:
Netherlands-Spain.. Could go either way, but I think Netherlands pulls the upset.

Germany-Italy.. Germany advances over Italy, too big, too powerful.

EURO Final:

Netherlands-Germany

Germany wins in a close game.

I like it, but I know better to wait until the competition draws near before making my predictions. Group A just screams out surprise to me with those four nations. Group B looks pretty clear cut, but then again, crazier things have happened. Group C is another tricky group that looks clear cut on the surface, but you can never count out Croatia or Ireland. I could see Group D going any direction as well with England having a new manager, Ukraine being a co-host, France recovering from the World Cup debacle & a resurgent Sweden.

What remains to be seen, is who is this years Turkey going to be ? What country is going to consistently look finished & then miraculously score late & added time goals like they're going out of style ? Going along those same lines, who is this years Semih Senturk going to be ?

Too bad we won't get to see this eccentric lad this year

Di Natale and Cassano included in Italy's provisional Euro 2012 squad - Goal.com

The list of 31 called up by Cesare Prandelli for Italy's two friendlies against Luxembourg & Russia before selecting his final 23.

Ibrahim Afellay started in his first match for Barcelona in several months after being sidelined since September with a bad knee injury. He looked pretty good for being out so long & I think he's got a good shot of making the Netherlands final 23 despite such a lengthy layoff.

Roy Hodgson is set to release England's roster in a few days time. It will be REAL interesting to see who they selected and dropped with so many choices.

Balotelli and Cassano will be a sick duo up front. I hope Italy can make some noise.

Only if Balotelli doesn't have one of his trademark mental breakdown episodes. Playing your best friends, the Spanish, in the first game probably won't help him in that regard. If only he could use his anger to fuel his game instead of letting it destroy it.

At least he's not Joey Barton

What happened to Wilshere?

Messed his ankle up in a pre-season friendly & re-injured it in January. They ruled him out like a month ago. Good news for Arsenal as he should be completely ready to go next season. Kyle Walker & Darren Bent are in the same boat of being injured & not being able to be called up.

Walker played the last few EPL games for Spurs with a broken toe. Couldn't get him any rest because 'Arry loaned out what little cover Spurs had on both the right and left sides of the pitch.

Hodgson thinks Scott Parker might miss out as well, despite being called up with his Achilles tendon injury, but, remains hopeful that he will be able to play. Jordan Henderson is on standby in case Parker won't be fit in time.
