People complained about the effect on the players on the 5 hour flight to Maryland or Rutgers, etc. for teams like volleyball team, etc. Well. without the B1G money UCLA might not be able to continue funding the volleyball team, etc. Besides if they plan ahead they could use the 5 hours flight for on line classes, study hall. and/or tutoring, etc. They wouldn't need class monitors either, the players are stuck on the plane...:lol:.

Most Olympic sport athletes are not academic risks - in fact, they're the Poster Children to validate the NCAA's mission. It's the football and basketball dudes who need the monitoring.

UCLA football: Troy Aikman suggests on-site stadium for Bruins after Rose Bowl attendance

“This is an embarrassment but we couldn’t fill the Rose Bowl in 1988 when we were the #1 team in the country,” Aikman, with a picture of a nearly empty Rose Bowl during UCLA’s game. “Anyone else at UCLA think it’s time for an on-campus 30,000 seat stadium? Of course, if we can’t play better than we did today, it would be half-empty too.”

"We want to be even better," Thompson-Robinson said, via Bruin Report Online. "We want to break 60 and all that stuff. We want to improve on all we've done this year. ... When we see each other face to face, there will be some words and actions. I promise."

Thompson-Robinson also alleged Trojans players were cussing and flipping off UCLA players when they met at the Rose Bowl two years ago, adding some extra motivation. USC won that game, 43-38 in a game that was tightly contested throughout. Fans were not allowed at that game due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"I remember it clear as they, them cussing at us and flipping us off," Thompson-Robinson added. "It was a disrespectful as you can get. We have to go out there on Saturday and do the best we can. We know what is at stake and what it means to our fans and the community."

Just sayin': Hell yeah, hang 60 on them......:lol:

The real funny part is the attendance will probably be same same as it was during covid
