And that's the whole thing, I actually got in an argument with 2 of my boys last night trashing Beasley, but, my immediate response was Jonathan Bornstein. Long story short, Cameron's their best pairing with Brooks, and Klinsmann for right or wrong is going to find guys who can counter attack on the outside. So, guys that are interchangeable on the wing... kind of... it is what it is.

Anyone trashing Beasley doesn't quite understand just how important he was for the national team. His presence (or lack of) is still felt today. He was a perfect compliment to any back line because he knew when to move forward in attack, while also knowing when to fall back to prevent counters.

Well, he did scare the piss out of me back there more than one time, that I'll admit but, the way he played when there was really no other option that fit the scheme is certainly to be commended.

The USA’s captain, Michael Bradley, didn’t sound too pleased about having to compete in the match in his post-match comments after the semifinal. He stated that he didn’t understand the point of these types of consolation matches in an interview with Fox Sports 1. While he certainly has a point, it’s still another chance for the team to test themselves against a Top 5 team in the world. That should be enough motivation to come out and get a big win.

If anything I would expect Bradley to be appreciative to have an opportunity to play better and erase the trainwreck he was against Argentina as the last time we saw him play for the national team. Dude needs a quick shot at redemption because he appeared to be scared and intimidated all night the last time we got a look at him. When we couldn't break up their possession we should have started fouling just to break up their flow. Sometimes you have to take a whistle to get some semblance of your will inserted into the game. Instead we basically gave them the ball and let them do whatever the hell they wanted with it.

I forgot about this game being on tonight until about the 77th min. I turned it on in time to see Nagbe go in....Pulisic was already in. Since I've been watching, it's like a battle of those 2 vs the rest of the team. Those 2 want to get shit done. Everybody else is over it. It's fucking pathetic to watch.

For the most part I thought the team played pretty well, a big improvement over their last performance.

But yes - this was the time to let the young guys play the whole game. I don't like Guzan so I was glad to see Howard in there but I would have rather given Horvath his shot, started Pulisic and Nagbe, etc. Bradley is becoming a bum....for the most part he's played horrible and I don't know what his comments were about the third place match but he's had more lazy turnovers than I can ever remember seeing. I don't know if it's form or attitude but wouldn't be surprised if it was both.
