U.S. Men's National Soccer (Official Thread)

Never thought I'd ever see Eddie Johnson back in the team, but he's done quite well since returning in this batch of qualifiers.

Nice little chip over the keeper by Bradley. Dempsey was smart to tap it in just to make sure nobody cleared it off the line.

I don't think Cameron and Bocanegra will be the center-half duo come the World Cup (when the U.S. qualifies).

I'd like to try Edu and Cameron, but that probably won't happen.

Here's to Mexico visiting Crew Stadium and it being frigid cold.

Michael Bradley is actually becoming a very classy player, by any standard. He used to be a guy who could spray long balls with good accuracy and vision, but he's improved his footwork and quickness as well. Still has too much of a penchant for a Hollywood pass when a simple one would do. Then again there's never been a deep lying playmaker or regista who didn't have a bit of that in him.

Front was very fluid with their interplay.

Would definitely be interesting, especially if we were able to see Edu and Cameron get some run together in the middle at Stoke (although I think Stoke has Cameron playing LB right now).

I like Mexico, USA, and Jamaica. In that order.

I don't know what I like so much about Jamiaca's squad, but something tells me this win tonight lit a fire under their asses.

Whew, great night by the guys.

I was wondering during the game, what the hell is up with Stuart Holden?

Still recovering after having a second knee surgery last September. Think he's set to make a return to Bolton in the next month or so.

My prediction for the Hex is Mexico, USA, Honduras, Jamaica, Costa Rica, Panama.

Are we playing Mexico in Happy Valley?

Actually was nice not to have to nail bite last night a bit. (Even nicer since I joined the game late and it was soon to be well in hand)

As always, have to protect home turf with 3 points and grab ties on the road. Recipe to reach Brasil '14.

But I want another damn win at Azteca!
