He hasn't been the same since he blew out his knee. They gave him a run of matches after he came back from it, and was terrible.

Gonzalez is the best hope to provide what Onyewu once did. He is prone to gaffes right now, but I think he could settle in by next summer.

Best sequence was just before that with Bradley playing the ball vertically then the head back. But I may quibble a bit with Johnsons play, but generally this is a nice match... very "klinsmannesque on the attack... the marking backs are wide and high to start the possessions... dempsey is showing why he's a wing player, not the off forward...

Altidore isn't on fire.btw. they're just figuring out who he is and he figuring out his part. Its always been there.
