Tyjon Lindsey (WR Nebraska Cornhuskers, transfer to Oregon St.)

If you're tweeting at recruits, stop what you're doing and punch yourself in the face.

I don't read or have twitter but I would absolutely love to put those individuals' personal lives out in the public and embarrass them to see how they like it. Hate that there is no fear of repercussions for those jackasses. I imagine it's a bunch of angry adults who can't deal with their own personal failures and live vicariously through these kids

I have never once read a tweet to a recruit and thought, "man, that guy texting recruit x sure seems smart."

Thankfully, I dont have a Facebook profile, a Twitter handle, an Instagram account or whatever else exists out there social media-wise.

*Edit: I should add that social media isn't a bad thing. People can use them and not be clowns. Social media stuff just isn't for me.

Unfortunate. Like I said in the Holmes thread, no need to criticize these guys for making a personal choice. Hopefully urban can work his magic and figure out why he changed his mind.

Remember, this is the guy that was uncoverable at FNL.

Really wanted to see Tyjon in Columbus.....here's hoping the issues can get ironed out, but it's not sounding positive. Either way, best of luck to him.

Keith Williams is obviously selling Tyjon something that he is buying at the moment.

Word is OSU was caught off guard by this. They knew Nebraska was still in contact but didn't think they had to fear a full decommitment.

Will be interesting to see how this plays out. Suffice it to say I'm almost happy this wasn't OSU's doing and rather is on the player.
I thought it was a dead period?? Can coaches still contact a recruit? Serious question, I never really looked at the rules, just figured dead period was no contact.
EDIT: I guess butchtel answered that.

Some people, a substantial percentage, are never going to stop acting like obnoxious punks on the internet. I think that's the fourth law of thermodynamics. The only "solution" is to understand and accept that fact if you intend to have any kind of visible internet presence.

Sad to see grown men attack a boy on social media. Just pathetic...

I think Wasserman is jumping the gun with his bold proclamation that his comments indicate he's not going to OSU. I don't get that at all from his comments- he sounds like a kid who still doesn't really know what he wants when he decomitted and was hurt by the backlash. It might be the case that he's not going to OSU, but his comments in that video aren't definitive like Wasserman made it seem.

Zach Smith going to Vegas tomorrow to try and salvage this thing. Clearly this was Tyjon's decision or else OSU wouldn't be sending Smith out there trying to bring him back in the fold.

Weird situation. Don't see him at OSU at this point but I also didn't see him decommitting 24 hours ago so who knows?
I've seen conflicting reports on whether urban has used an in-house yet, but if not I think what you need to do is an Urban/Wilson combo. If a key component is being unsure on how he fits in the new offense, Wilson could best explain, with Urban's confirmation.

Having said that, I'm not even sure if that is the main reason. Birmingham had an update on Land of 10 that talked about him and Martell not being nearly as tight as they used to be. They literally used to be quasi-brothers, so if that's true, I could see it being awkward.

Every fan base has them. They are the 'Yahoo commenters' of college football, if you will. Unfortunately, we have more than our fair share.

Sorry to hear about Tyjon, but Ohio State is bigger than any 1 recruit. If the door is truly closed, best of luck, and on to the next one.
