From the sounds of the video he didn't want to decommit, but felt he had to. Very strange. Hope he ends up back in the class, otherwise I really hope he doesn't end up in Nebraska. In every video I've seen of Keith Williams this year in recruiting he looks like a real piece of work. Even in videos with Tyjon, he looks like he's trying too hard and Tyjon obviously notices it.

Less-than-rosy relationships
The first thing to realize is this: the relationship that Lindsey and Tate Martell — whose family Lindsey lived with in Las Vegas when he originally arrived from California years ago — is not what it once was. The pair were extremely close and that played a big part in their initial decisions but over the last year, that has changed considerably, according to a source.

“Their relationship changed,” the source, who is close to Bishop Gorman, said. “I noticed it first last basketball season. In the fall of 2015 they were inseparable, but by December, you didn’t see them together. They were showing up at events with different people. You could tell there was a break and then Tyjon left for California. When he came back, I was told he didn’t go back to the Martell house. Something changed in Tyjon when he left for Centennial. He seemed like a totally different kid when he came back.”

So whatever happened between the pair — something happened. And it appears that it ended the “brotherhood” that had been the staple of that relationship. On Wednesday afternoon, Lindsey’s Twitter profile seemed to put that in public light. He appears to take a shot at Martell in this tweet.

According to the same source, the Martell family had gone out of its way to provide support for Lindsey — and Martell took to Twitter on Wednesday to let people know that Lindsey’s decision had no impact on him.

I'll be arriving at Ohio State tonight to start my college career. Tyjon's decision isn't my decision. Wish him the best where ever he goes.

But as in every case, there are two sides to a story. Whatever caused the rift, it’s there and it has become a major point of divisiveness. Was that enough to warrant the de-commitment on its own? I don’t think so, but it gave a crack for others to exploit and play on.

Interesting story about Tyjon and Tate...
And also interesting to see the methods Williams from Nebraska has gone about pursuing Lindsey. He has a job to do, so I get it. Seems(from my vantage point) that he put enough doubt in young Tyjon's head about OSU...
