#1 CB John Meredith III named Ohio State as one of his 6 schools standing out, along with Texas A&M, Alabama, SMU, Penn State and Texas.
Need to get him to the Penn State game. Could be the Devin Sanchez of the 2027 class.

John Meredith III likely committing to Texas A&M soon, will be a top CB target off the board.
Reminder that a lot of these kids are committing earlier and earlier so they can start earning NIL faster.

John Meredith III will be visiting for the Penn State game. Texas A&M and Alabama out front with Ohio State also involved.
Big time visit as he’s expected to commit before the end of the year.

The interview his trainer did with ON3 is evidence that money will make you say anything. Texas A&M is having a “great year defensively” while giving up 40+ to Arkansas and Notre Dame. Heck even Utah State and UTSA put up over 20 points on that great defense.

Couple more CB updates:
5* John Meredith says A&M and Bama lead followed by OSU. Looking to make a spring decision - this is expected, that we're on the outside looking in. I see us taking 2-3 guys ranked between 100-300 this cycle. Possibly stretch to get a top50 guy like Henry (see below). We need numbers more so than spending on star power.
Top-50 CB Raylaun Henry said he’s “150 percent committed” to A&M but could official visit to Ohio State and Alabama during the summer - welcome to modern recruiting. But this is one that I'd love to push for. Teammate of OSU's Khmari Bing.

I will be interested if Scott leaving (along with those DBs hitting the Draft) will appeal to a recruit like Meredith. You have a program with a pedigree for putting CBs in the NFL that are thriving, a very good position coach that recruits well, and the departures in the DB room would be an ideal situation. I would pony up the NIL if it comes down to it, CB has become a position of need quickly.
