Sadly I've never had a deep fired turkey. I've always wanted one, it looks so good. Every year I see them cooking them on the Food Network channel and they just make me want one(and very hungry). But we don't have all the stuff to cook the turkey like that. And I'm about the only one in my family that has shown any interest what so ever. So it looks like I won't ever have one until I'm older and can do it myself.

I am cooking my first turkey this year and have no idea what I am doing. I know I have to do it in the oven, but have no idea how/when to season it.

Anyone seen Christmas Vacation? I am thinking of having my Aunt bring some Jello with kitty litter in it.

AKA- then what? How the hell do you soak a big ass turkey to get it seasoned? I know I can inject stuff too. Do they make a turkey seasoning that you can buy?
