Potential is just that. This team entered the season with lots of potential and a chorus of "we're preparing for Bama" and celebrating their NIL successes. It's about coaching. It's about players needing to have a burning hunger to succeed. Are we witnessing the start of a potential dumpster fire and a rush out of the transfer portal or one of the finest hours of Ohio State football. Are these coaches worth these pay packets? As the Zen Master said, we'll see.

That team had an excuse.

This team reminds me a lot of 2008. High expectations, a lot of guys skipped the draft to tend to unfinished business, but early season struggles/underachieving.

That led to a lot of changes and by the end of the year, they were a pretty formidable team. We will see if we get the same.
