Re: Like last year's visit to France , the Wolverines will not practice in South Africa. Harbaugh did have practices in Italy in 2017.

Re: Specific dates and tour sites have not been announced. The Wolverines will leave after the completion of the spring semester.

They aren't allowed to practice on these road trips anymore:

NCAA passes 'Harbaugh rule' banning spring break practice trips
Jan. 20, 2017
Though it won’t officially be called the “Jim Harbaugh Rule,” the NCAA’s five power conferences passed a measure Friday ending trips like the one he took over spring break with the Michigan football team at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., last March.

As part of a package of new rules designed to create more off time for college athletes, the new rule prohibiting off-campus practice during a vacation period outside of a playing season passed 58-20 after a vigorous debate with a majority in all five conferences, though the athlete representatives voted against it 11-4.

Re: Michigan alumni Bobby Kotick and Don Graham funded last year's trip, and Kotick paid for the visit to Italy. Harbaugh has said Kotick will pay for the tours as long as the coach wants to do them.

It begs the question: Why isn't this a NCAA violation? The infamous "$100 handshakes" and/or "free use of a car" from a booster are illegal; but the booster can give players a (approx.) $5K all expense paid trip to a foriegn country over spring break.
How in the name of Woody is this not some kind of violation?
Alums/Boosters paying for trips for the football team?
Did I miss something a few years ago when this started, and the idiots at the NCAA said this is fine and dandy?

We get a year probation, along with the loss of 12 wins and a conference title, because a half dozen of our players sold/exchanged a few of their personal items, but fucking scUM gets to send an entire fucking football team on an all-expense paid trip halfway around the world funded fully by a booster. Fuck the NCAA.

I had that exact same question go thru my mind too.

I thought the rule - more or less - was that nothing could be provided to the football team that was not generally available to the rest of the student body.

A redshirt senior at UM will have been provided with 5 all expense paid trips to "exotic" locales.

I can only imagine that scUM players are paying back the booster in some way for these trips.

They have nobody ranked higher than our average. We have ONE guy rated lower than their top commit.

Welp...:harbaugh:
Remove the low outlier for each and you get OSU avg 65, scUM avg 358.
