This diary is what whimper of fight is still left in me - the fleeting shred of hope of a grad like me from the 80's/90's when UM was one of the top 3 programs in the nation.

when exactly was scUM "one of the top 3 programs in the nation" in the 80s and 90s outside of maybe a single year here and there? Outside of 85 maybe 92 and 97 they pretty much were the exact same as they are now.

Is that guy trying to say Rosen wouldn't be an NFL bust if he had studied under the brilliant mind of Harbaugh?

Can you be considered an NFL bust if you never get drafted in the first place? If not, then that might be exactly what that guy is suggesting. Ruddock, Wilton, O'Korn, Gentry, Patterson.... The best Harbrau QB might be Brandon Peters - and he's achieving his success at Illi-freakin-nois..... So....

And they had to fight tooth and nail after 2006 to get back to where they are now.

Imagine....all the pain we went through with Cooper dropping the last 2 games every fucking year. And then all the hard work Tressel put in to make us a power house. And then the work Urban put in to make us what we are now. Imagine spending all that energy just to get back to losing 3-5 games every year.

Some team will probably throw a day 3 pick at Patterson and DFBIA will claim it as shining proof of Harbaugh's QB prowess

Harbaugh: "'go getters' make up recruiting class.

I agree with this. These guys are going to spend the next several years going and getting their fucking shineboxes.
Apparently several guys are going in early enough to participate in bowl practices (as Brenden White did for OSU a couple years back) This is how it was explained:

“We posed this to them when we figured out this rule, and they’re like, ‘Wait, I get to come and get three workouts in with (strength coach Ben Herbert) Herb? I get to come in and do individual period with Jay Harbaugh? Oh my God, sign me up.’ They are coming in this weekend, and we are fired up to see them in the winged helmet. It’s the first time it’s ever happened.”
First off... Bull. Shit. I seriously doubt doing individual periods with Bonaduce is on anyone's radar.

Second off... :slappy:

That is very harsh

He's over there, go get him! Seems like a very probable and frequent task for incoming defenders. It's certainly not something called the grind because they already got OSU and it's so common that they have to find ways to motivate players to do the usual repeatedly.

It's definitely not, great job, the ball carrier or receiver had nowhere to go. No need to go get anything but some praise on the bench.
