“If you think Charbonnet could fill the Elliott role in this scenario”
In the 2014 postseason, Zeke Elliott had perhaps the greatest 3-game performance in the history of college football, when you consider his personal production, level of competition, and what was at stake for the team:

Big Ten CCG (#11 Wisconsin): 20 carries, 220 yards (11.0 avg), 2 TDs
Sugar Bowl (#1 Alabama): 20 carries, 230 yards (11.5 avg), 2 TDs
CFP Champ: (#2 Oregon): 36 carries, 246 yards (6.8 avg), 4 TDs

For the 3 games combined, Elliott had 76 carries, 696 yards (9.2 avg), 8 TDs

In 5 games this season, Zach Charbonnet has 61 carries, 260 yards (4.3 avg), 4 TDs

I do not think Charbonnet could fill the Elliott role in that scenario, or in any other scenario for that matter.

DFBIA gonna DFBIA....

Not to change the subject too much, but it annoys me that the stupid Heisman Trophy is awarded when it is. Zeke torches #1 and #2 for 476 yards and 6 touchdowns, and those stats don't count toward anyone's votes for the Heisman. I believe that, if the award was given after the season is over, it'd be really tough to not give it to Zeke.
Of course, if I'm given a choice, I'd choose the national championship over the Heisman.
Sorry for the derail.

My favorite is the ‘maniacal genius holding the offense back to throw surprises at Ohio State’ excuse.

Last year Ohio State had its worst defense in decades if not ever.

In the week immediately proceeding The Game, Maryland absolutely exposed Ohio State’s fundamental schematic flaws to the tune of 51 points.

And the super effective attack Maryland utilized was basically just going unbalanced, getting OSU to shift its safeties, and then running to the weak side of the formation... it wasn’t even that complicated.

The next week Michigan incorporated exactly nothing of what Maryland had done on offense in their own game plan and proceeded to get crushed.

There will NEVER be a better opportunity to throw stuff at Ohio State on offense and Harbaugh didn’t even try.

But yeah, this year Harbaugh is really cooking something up. Just wait... you’ll see.

And the best part is, the 13-year-old who is thus deluding himself is telling everyone that he heard it from a doctor, "so he must be smart... right? right?"

No, kid. Maybe a few people over there are fooled into thinking a doctor came up with this, allowing themselves to believe it out of sheer desperation. No one else believes this is a doctor's idea. I've worked with some high-ranking, very smart engineers who were deluded about Harbaugh, but this is the work of an adolescent mind; you're not fooling anyone.

It annoys me as well: Ezekiel Elliott vs Derek Henry
