If Wiscy thumps them(which is a VERY real possibility), the wheels could come off fast for this team. I mean, you're looking at a team that a number of (idiotic) analysts thought would win the B1G and get to the CFP, possibly having as much as 6-7 losses by seasons end(Wiscy, Iowa, Pedsters, ND, Maryland, Little Brother and OSU)! If that were to happen, we would be looking at a completely decimated program. Because then, where to they go, I mean truly at this point?
But the season is a long one, and they may even get to 8 losses if we're lucky, they are looking pretty damn bad across the board.
My pants may or may not have tightened reading this.

Don't stop, I'm almost there!

What better way to tease a lesser team than to go to 2OT, get the ball first, only manage a FG, all the while knowing that you’re ready to end it and the defense will come up with a turnover. It’s brilliant!

Back up before that.

The genius at work letting a 23 point underdog get a game winning FG attempt off at the end of regulation......knowing the guy was going to miss by the narrowest of margins...that's just a whole 'nother level of coaching acumen.

You say what you like. Jim Harbaugh is the right coach at the right time for this storied program. Years from now, we'll look back on him with awe and respect.

Here he is, intimidating Urban Meyer with his Woody glasses. A LEGEND.

You laughed when I first said Bill Martin would achieve such greatness. He even has Michael Jordan on his sweater. Legend. Absolute legend.

Totally agree, I mentioned a watershed moment in Jimmy's tenure somewhere in a thread yesterday. It's not hyperbole imo.

CFB is crazy and anything can happen so I'm not writing them off yet but IF they go into Madison and lose (it doesn't have to be a blowout) then yeah, the wheels are coming off. All but the most hardened kool aid drinkers are getting vocal and nasty.

TTUN football paid Army $1.5 million to scare the hell out of its fans

https://www.freep.com/story/sports/...019/09/07/michigan-football-score/2247248001/

Well written piece

Army struggled to put away Rice in Week 1, but on Saturday the Black Knights looked more than capable of beating the preseason favorite in the Big Ten.

Here are some of the more amusing reactions from social media:

Editorial note: I am starting to warm up to this twitter thing:

It all goes back to the same thing that people here have called out for 5 years:

  1. Being the head coach of a major program is like being a CEO of a corporation or any other leadership analogy you want to use. It is 100% about leadership. 0% about tactical skills or specific job related knowledge.
  2. Interpersonal skills are the basis of effective leadership. You simply must be able to relate to others to get a group of human to unite their efforts toward a common objective.
  3. They knowingly hired a guy who has a personality disorder to fill a role that heavily emphasizes interpersonal skills.
A 35 year old, first time play caller is brought on the staff to essentially fix what his boss broke.

The boss that is going to help the inexperienced guy effectively navigate this delicate set of interpersonal dynamics has fucking Asperger's.

Who in the tsun administration could possibly have seen anything going wrong with such a well thought out plan?
