So, what was the reasoning behind the Amazon show? Follow an off season with an eccentric, over the top, ego maniacal head coach, a team that's only relevant when football isn't being played and the first 3-5wks of the season, and talk about past glory? If this was supposed to be a "hip" recruiting tool, I think that they failed big time. I was listening to the producer of the show on ESPN 360, and he just had no words on describing Hairball, or really for the vision of the show. He was friends with the coach, and pitched the idea to follow them. Not sure how any of this could be seen in a positive light if you're anyone but the insane mind of Hairball. If I'm a HS recruit, IDK if I want that crazy in my life, even if I'm a smart kid and covet a degree from a school like scum. I could just as easily play at a more stable program like ND, Stanford, tOSU, etc and not deal with the headache. I think the alum, boosters, fans in AA have to be sweating bullets about this upcoming season, because they honestly look no better on paper than last year. Brown can only work so much magic with that defense, and Warriner will certainly improve that O line, but I don't see them still beating Ped St, MSU or tOSU, not to mention having a few other hiccups along the way

Guys like Brown and Warriner can only do so much because scUM appeals to a certain type. That type is typically entitled and soft. Guys who think getting to scUM is the prize, not the next step on the road to the prize. It's who they are. It's their culture. It's been bread into them for generations. You heard about the "country club" atmosphere that hounded Carr's tenure... it hasn't gone away (Need proof? Check out their off season work out dance video, lmao). Unspoken in the whole "Michigan Man" mantra is (and this isn't Bo's fault, mind you, as he never made that remark with the intent those ass clowns would glom on to it.) that culture. They think they're a national player because they have those stupid fucking helmets on. That's it. That's all it takes for them to feel like they're big time.

Fuck them.

LOOK: Tim Drevno’s resignation letter to Michigan made public

It appears we can finally, officially, put the Tim Drevno era at Michigan to bed.

In February, three days after Jim McElwain was officially hired as U-M’s quarterbacks coach and amidst rumors that the former Florida head coach could take over play-calling duties, Drevno announced that he would be stepping down as the Wolverines’ offensive coordinator. Drevno also served as the program’s offensive line coach.

Two months later, mlive.com obtained a copy of the coach’s resignation letter through the Freedom of Information Act.

Eight days after he left U-M, Drevno’s name was connected to a job at USC; two days later, the Trojans announced his hiring as running backs coach. This marks his second stint in the Land of Troy as he was line coach and running-game coordinator in 2014.

Drevno, who was also on Jim Harbaugh‘s staffs at Stanford and with the San Francisco 49ers, spent the past three seasons in Ann Arbor. Under Drevno’s direction, the Wolverines’ offense was tied for 91st nationally in averaging 25.2 points per game this past season.

I'm thinking it was a mutually agreeable separation. Harbaugh wanted him out, he wasn't very good at scUM. Drevno is a west coast kind of guy and wanted out of the cesspool also knon as Ann Arbor.

From the college hockey forum. Substitute raccoon coats, bathtub gin and 23-skidoo, and you're talking about their football program.

When I think of Michigan hockey, I think happy thoughts: hula hoops, stuffing phone booths, and Elvis' early years. Any time after that, they're just kind of like that old deaf Uncle with the stories of his youth.
