Let me get this straight--a guy who looks like Jim Bob Duggar's long, lost twin brother and who ran the Florida program straight into the ground (showing just how in over his head he was as a coach) is arrogant?

Ann Arbor is to the irrationally arrogant what Mecca is to Muslims.

It seems they are all required to go there.

So many gems in this article!

Jim McElwain isn’t a game-changer on the recruiting trail,” said Barton Simmons, 247Sports’ director of football scouting. “He’s capable. He’s got an engaging personality and has had relative success as a recruiter at every stop. But when he was at Alabama, he wasn’t one of Nick Saban’s aces. When he was at Florida, things took a slight dip from Will Muschamp and Urban Meyer before him. So Jim McElwain doesn’t come to Ann Arbor as a weak link on the recruiting trail but unless his approach has changed, I wouldn’t expect him to be leading the charge either.”.

.
Florida had strong recruiting classes with McElwain at the helm but not as strong as those of his predecessors. In the 10 years before McElwain became the coach, Florida had two No. 1 classes — 2007 and 2010 — along with a No. 2 class and a pair of No. 3 classes. Florida never finished the national recruiting rankings lower than No. 12 in that span, according to 247Sports.
:slappy:
Wonder who had those #1 classes8D...

Thank you Lof10 for this off-season article.

"The director of performance for the University of Michigan's football team resisted police, grabbed a security guard's throat and bit a lab technician after his arrest March 5 on suspicion of drunken driving, a police report states.

Fergus Connolly, 40, also told an officer he would "put him in a wheelchair," according to the police report."

Was the officer already in a wheelchair and Ferguson just offered to help him sit down?

Shocking--there's not a word of this over at mgoblog. I'm guessing we could find this under the rug, where the following things have also been swept over there: the Frank Clark saga, the Brendan Gibbons saga, Harbaugh's recruiting class of 2018, the 2018 Outback Bowl, the entire 2017 football season, etc.
