Patterson is undeniably more competent than pretty much any qb they've fielded the past couple of years. Problem is, scUM fan wasn't expecting "competent", Mississippi Jesus was supposed to be a playmaker. He was supposed to help them finally field an offense capable of complimenting the very good defenses they've had. He isn't. In fact, he isn't even their best player on offense...that would be Higdon.

I haven't watched him all that carefully, but I did notice during the Nerds game that he seems to have a bit of a short fuse towards his teammates. Giving the "I can't believe this shit" head shake, and the like. Is that something you've seen, or did I just read into his reactions?

I saw like 4 plays, and one of them was him being pissed off at his teammate for something.

Noticed that as well and loved it. Not the reaction you want from your QB in a tight game and one I never saw from Barrett.

Harbaugh doesn't trust him to be a "play maker" it seems. Some of them still swear he is saving "UNLEASHING SHEA!!!11!" for PSU Sparty and Ohio State. Doubtful though, He knows he turns into an inaccurate turnover machine if you start airing it out with him. Captain Check down he will remain.

He crapped the bed at Ole Miss last year with what is considered to be a very good WR core and a better oline than scUMs . Still wonder what scUM fans saw that made them swear he was going to come in firing and be a top draft pick.

To add on watching scUM fans on MGOBOARD tear Haskins apart for "MOST OF HIS YARDS COMING ON SHORT PASSES" against PSU......It's almost as if they have not watched their own QB play all season.

Well, when you know the quality of your 2 and 3 QBs, you tend to be careful with your 1.
