The real funny thing about the Barstool tweet about scUM coming in #1 on "things that matter" is:

O'Korn, of course, was terrible. The ridiculous conditions give him and his receivers somewhat of an excuse for their performances, but completing just 16 of 35 passing attempts for less than 200 yards and turning the ball over three times is a recipe for disaster. Those hoping for a Speight return are going to be sorely disappointed, because he is now officially out for the rest of the year.

Harbrau's ministry of excuses, mgoblog...apparently totally unaware of how lame "cupboard was bare!!!" excuses are, throw this camel turd out in their game recap...

.
Yes, Brady Hoke is still partially responsible for this. The only Hoke players who are playing more than a very minor role are the two fullbacks, Ty Isaac, Mason Cole, and Patrick Kugler. The quarterback depth chart reads...

  • Generic Three Star
  • Houston Transfer
  • Redshirt Freshman
...because of Hoke.
...yep, it's Hoke's fault Harbrau hasn't found "his" QB in year three. It's Hoke's fault they have yet to land an impactful OL in three classes. It's Hoke's fault they have nothing at WR. It's Hoke's fault that they have a pile of mediocrity at WR.

It's year three. That excuse has expired. And last I checked, Hoke, for all his faults, actual recruited fairly well. We're not talking about MAC recruiting classes. And the guy an hour NW just whooped you with much lower rated recruiting classes.

Good time to remind these clowns that Urban took over a 6-7 dumpster fire and went 12-0 in year one, and won a Natty with a very young team in year three. Might be time to look inward, scUM fan. Sell crazy someplace else, we're all stocked up here.

Hokes first 3 recruiting classes per 247

Other than being too fat to climb a tree and more inclined to eat a recruit than sleep over with one, what exactly has Hoke done all that different than Jimmah?

Hoke managed to be the coach during a 6-7 rebuilding year at OSU, and barely squeak out a win.

You mean other than cashing much smaller paychecks for producing pretty much the exact same results?

Well, he chose to respond to questions with a mumbling, stammering incoherent form of speaking while Hairball is more of a crazy, non-linear, incoherent type of guy. Big difference.....

Wilton Speight likely out for season with 3 broken vertebrae

Just as I thought, spineless.

https://scout.com/college/michigan/Board/103320/Contents/Repercussions-from-Speight-hit-108676270

Has there been anything more said and/or done about the Purdue creep who blasted Wilton in the back of the head and neck--while he was on the ground? Beyond what Harbaugh said in the postgame presser?

I know no penalty was called. But that was as egregious and dangerous a cheap shot as you'll hopefully see this season. And it may well have ended a player's career. Seems like there should be more about this than at least I've seen.

Meh - #7 was coming in a little late, but he's already falling when Speight hits the ground. That's a tough thing to call a "cheap shot" at game speed, with the rush of playing in a game and getting the chance to hit the quarterback.

The Michigan fanbase has become unhinged (imagine that, with Captain Unhinged at the helm). I got into reddit wars with them over this hit and the OKorn flop. The Speight hit was at worst a touch late, but definitely not dirty or malicious. The OKorn thing is just bewildering to me. I mean....it's clear as day that he flopped as a delayed reaction to the MSU guy who gave him a little forearm shove while he was down. I had a guy challenge me to record myself flopping like that and upload it to the web to see if it was even possible.
