C'mon now, what do you expect? You think any B1G team could really do well with losing all those players? How do think we'd do if we, for example, had the lowest amount of returning starters of any team in the entire country? Not very good, probably...
Good Milli. You can take your tongue out of your cheek now.

Exactly. Who in the Big Ten, other than Urban, is going to land a better field of recruits than Hairball? The uncertain status of Kelly at ND is going to help all Big Ten schools, but especially Michigan in the Chicago area. USC and UCLA seem to have stopped poaching in Midwest. Saban might get a couple, but the rest of the SEC seems content to fight over the same southern table scraps. So who? Dantonio - guy makes his living on 3 stars who he can work with for 4 years. Franklin - does good in PA and Jersey, but PSU has yet to out-recruit Michigan. Wisky? another program that counts on keeping kids for four years to make up the talent difference.

So yeah, Hairball lost a ton... and no one has said much about the loss of Lewis and Stribling at CB, especially Lewis... but he has a good class of soon-to-be sophs to draw on and if he has a corps of recruits who can begin school in January he'll be tough to beat next fall.

(Michigan fan) Gee, we never the calls. We have to win every game by beating the other team and the refs. We never get a break from the refs.

So:
Hell of a Job by the Hoosiers (Not the Refs) in Ann Arbor

I was in Memorial Stadium the last time Indiana beat Michigan in football.
The year was 1987, and Indiana was just a few years removed from a winless season. With Bill Mallory as head coach, and led by Anthony Thompson and Dave Schnell, the Hoosiers put together one of the best seasons in school history that year. They beat both Michigan and Ohio State and found themselves in the top 10 for the only time since I’ve been alive.
Today, the Hoosiers — this edition coached by Bill Lynch and led by freshman RB Darius Willis and junior QB Ben Chappell — almost knocked off the Michigan Wolverines for the first time in two decades, but ultimately fell just short.
And the Hoosiers should justifiably be feeling cheated as they fly home.
Who knows what would have happened if the referees had not awarded possession to Michigan on a controversial interception with 2:30 left in the 4th quarter, but it sure would have been nice to see the Hoosiers have a chance to drive down the field.
(Follow the link to ESPN’s recap of the IU-Michigan game, including video of the controversial play and Bill Lynch going nuts.)
The team, its coach, and its fans deserved better.
But Indiana has been getting screwed in The Big House for years. One of the only times I ever saw the great Bill Mallory lose his composure was after a game against Michigan. I don’t remember the exact nature of the call, but I know it was on special teams and went against SS James Summerall. Mallory rightfully called out the officials in the post-game press conference and was disciplined for doing so.
I haven’t seen Bill Lynch’s press conference yet, but I hope he spoke his mind. The Hoosiers deserved better.
Congratulations on a great effort IU. There are no moral victories, but there are losses that you can be more proud of than others. This was one of those days for IU.
And you can bet that Jim Tressel and the Buckeyes won’t be sleeping on IU next weekend.

"WHY WOULD ANY ELITE WR GO TO OHIO STATE, LOOK AT DEVIN SMITH HES A BUST IN THE NFL!!!!"

talk about clinging on to a terrible argument, it's like us saying "LOL WHY WOULD ANY WRs GO TO SCUM BRAYLON EDWARDS SUCK IN NFL"

I can't believe that you would "drop" in and degrade Braylon Edwards.

Yep, DFBIA. Michael Thomas is doing pretty well for himself. Corey Brown has carved out a nice little career in Carolina despite not being the most physically gifted. Name the last scum WR to do anything of note in the NFL. Manningham for a couple of seasons?

*edit- I guess Funchess contributes in Carolina, but he has a whopping 18 catches this year. That's one skill position player out of that hole since Manningham in 2007. Hairlice played for a horrible JAX team in 2014, but he's been totally phased out of their offense since.

Yea Hairlice is such a afterthought that he can't even poach carries from 2 average of average backs (Ivory and Yeldon) in a awful offense

I hope they keep doing it. The "Urban feature back" meme ended pretty well.
