Next year we will see what HairbaLL is really worth, with all the players he is going to lose.

It's unrealistic to assume the defense is going to be anywhere near as good with all they lose there.

The offensive outlook isn't much better.

Darboh/Butt/Cheeson accounted for 126/207 (60%) of receptions and 1,813/2,593 (69.9%) of Yards

Their top returning receiver will be Grant Perry, who caught just 13 passes this past year. Then after him nobody had more then 6 receptions.

I guess you could say that Speight looked "ok" at times this year, but it's going to be uphill sledding for him next year breaking in all new WRs (and losing Butt)

De'Veon Smith, while never great, could at least resemble a workhorse back. He's gone. Chris Evans looked good in a role player effort this year, will he be able to carry that big load next year though? Oline is going to be thin I believe losing 6 off of the 2 deep

Add also that The only O-Line position they'll improve at is Kalis'... so... there's that.

It took running out of eligibility for them to find someone to replace him. There's zero guarantee that his replacement will even be on the same level. Think about that for a few... exhausted his eligibility and over that time they couldn't find a replacement for him. EXHAUSTED his eligibility... Na man, not buying it. Whoever they put there next year ain't gonna be better than him.

Sour grapes. I'm going to take the high road and instead commend Michigan for embracing tradition.

- They have hired a coach that is such a Bo disciple he quotes Bo directly in press conferences while berating the officials and the league.

- They've continued their losing streak to Ohio State this century.

- They've emblazoned all their football apparel with the logo of a basketball star that played for North Carolina to fully honor their rich, interwoven history with UNC.

Regarding Michigan and Michael Jordan vs. Ohio State and Lebron James, doesn't it just epitomize the two programs? They tie themselves to the glory of a champion from the past while Ohio State ties itself to the glory of the champion of the present. I hate (and by hate I mean love) to say it, but Fielding Yost isn't walking through that door anytime soon fuckos.

C'mon now, what do you expect? You think any B1G team could really do well with losing all those players? How do think we'd do if we, for example, had the lowest amount of returning starters of any team in the entire country? Not very good, probably...

Michigan fans are progressing through the 5 stages of grief, backwards

Browning to OSU thread (these posts are in order from the thread)

5. Acceptance
Keep chalking em up and knocking em down. Best class ever by a quite a bit once they land okudah and akers
They are going to recruit near Alabama level as long as Urban is there. Good news is we are going to be top 5 on a regular basis also so the talent disparity is not going to be on there on the field.
4. Depression
ugh, not like we had any chance, but to OSU?! WHYYYYYY
I was hoping he'd go anywhere but there. How the hell do they keep doing it?
Guess that validates Simmons getting processed...
Thought the same thing. Better write up a big story how urban is a bad guy
Right, unfortunately it's gotten out of hand and is more than just a typical run by one team. Another reason why the game this year was so important to win.
They have been better then us literally for these kids entire life. Gotta start beating them not rebuilding.
Getting beat on the field and on the trail is pretty bad feeling . Kill me now
If anybody thinks that O$U stopped paying recruits/players when Tressell was fired their only kidding themselves. Urban Lyer is as slimy as anybody in CFB, atone of the slimiest universities in all of CFB.
3. Bargaining
I'm confident we will be happy with our class when 2017 recruiting wraps up. Granted, OSU has a class for the ages and I would have loved to get Browning...but I think we will be pretty happy with Ross, Gay, Anthony and Singleton at LB.
The hand wringing over recruits is inexplicable. Michigan was the better team on Saturday with mostly Brady Hoke recruits. Michigan will put 10+ players in pros this year. Michigan is not as good as they will be in 2 years with all JH recruits. Michigan controlled the OSU offense to the tune of 8 sacks and zero offensive points in first half. Our QB situation will be the best by long shot in the B1G starting next year. These sky is falling threads over recruiting is beyond me. I was as disappointed as anyone over Saturday. But, there was so much more positive then negative, unlike last year. Again, future is really bright.
Willie gay is better

It is a legit question whether we can keep the gap close enough to keep up although I have faith in our coaches to be able to develop what we get. With that said, while I like Browning and think he is very good I think he is a bit over rated. Not saying he isn't good but not a 5 star. And it isn't over for them either since they are about to land Werner as well. This could be one of the best classes I have ever seen.

Am I the only one that can see this backfiring . Yes they have a class full of 4-5 stars, yes they will probably have the best recruiting class ever. However, how many of these recruits have entitlement issues? How many expect to have a starting spot handed to them? Do these kids want to work for it? Do they like competition? Or do they want everything handed to them. You need some kids that are hungry, scrappy, willing to push other kids. I don't see that in OSU class.

I will guarantee one thing, Michigan will be stronger than them mentality, because nothing will be given to our boys, they will work for everything, and everything is earned.

They also cheat to high hell, which just adds to the allure.

With all their great "athletes" they didn't impress me last Saturday. They couldn't do squat against us offensively for almost 4 quarters. Bring it on sucknuts.

And my personal favorite, Michigan sucks at developing 5-stars so OSU might too

Just because they get these top prospects to go to them doesn't mean they will live up to their ranking. We have seen it before with highly talented players on our team.
Carolfrass said:
As far as 5 stars, I have to keep reminding myself that sometimes they don't pan out and the lower star kids are better. Thinking of Derek Green - what a disappointment. On the other hand, look at Chris Evans.. he was lower 4 star coming in and is one of the best players on this team and is only a freshman.
bluepalooza said:
Don't forget Ty Issac and Shane Morris we they not 5 stars.

I'm not worried about his commitment. You still have to coach these kids up no matter how talent they have. And were no different to anyone else. But I'll take our coaching over any other team by FAR! I trust our recruiting and once Harbaugh get this next class in with all the early enrollees. Wow! Let's go Blue!!

Having lost so many memes (Urban hates feature tailbacks, etc), they're still clutching to a few
Nick Saban didn't run away when things started to crack. Saban doesn't have a circle of trust that caused internal issues with players. Urban has a history of giving special treatment with his players. All I'm saying is I wouldn't be surprised if this comes back to haunt him again.

The national championship games between Bama and OSU are going to be fun to watch.
Yes we should have. Agree 100%. I was a sick as anyone when we didn't. But what I took from game is there is zero debate, even many haters we were best team that day. Yes, officials affected Game in BIG way. Yes, we should have not allowed the officials to affect game by just keep adding points. However, how messed up is it that we have to not allow game to be close as to not allow officials to affect game? In other words, if we wanted to win in OSU we had to more than dominate, we had to destroy them.

I've never been one to dabble in drugs recreationally, but goddamn if someone could figure out a way to pump mgoblog intraveniously into me I'd gladly stay high forever.
