I was watching ESPN the other night and saw this guy's comments. He emphatically says Michigan can't beat O$U or make playoffs. What is funny is when these guys pay no attention to the team UM is returning but dismiss when when the competition loses so much of their strength. These guys just hate on Michigan and have no real backing with any notion of fact to say why.

ESPN has been rattling the chains on, no way Michigan makes the playoffs or wins the big ten East. They are very convinced of this. It's been said on College Football Live by a couple of their, "so called", experts...

Never mind this piece from last week:

2. Alabama will be joined in the College Football Playoff by Clemson, Michigan and Oklahoma.

Jim Harbaugh was asked about the players’ status after today’s practice and revealed two of the them had been suspended. He declined to answer a follow-up question asking which two he was referring to. (It was later revealed to be Mitchell and Johnson).

“We’ll handle that internally,” he said.

A question about the length of said suspensions then drew his ire.

“That’s why I don’t give you any information cause you’re never satisfied,” a clearly irritated Harbaugh said. “You want a second question, a third question, a fourth question. I just said we’d handle it internally. Thank you.”

When your coach is primarily known for climbing trees, sleepovers with teenagers, popping his shirt off during pick up games, and rap videos... discipline might become an issue.

Similarly to how Hoke attracted mostly guys with work ethic issues, I'm thinking Harbaugh's appeal might resonate the most with kids that have maturity problems.

As I posted elsewhere, a lot of coaches get prickly when asked about off-field issues. That's fairly normal. What's not normal is to refuse to answer the following questions and behave as though they're stupid, incomprehensible or giving away the secret recipe of Bush's beans.

These are just a few I could dig up from last year, and this sort of thing happened all of the time:

- What is an area you would like to improve upon as a team? (he refused to take sides and stuck with his usual, everything and everyone is great, it's all great and we're getting better)

- How is pro and college coaching different? (he was hellbent on not allowing them to do this to him and said it's all great, I love it all, etc)

- How did you emphasize The Game as a player and how will you use that now that you are coaching? (he could not fathom what the reporter was getting at here)

- If DeVeon is unable to play, would Ty Isaac be the starter?
If De’Veon isn’t able to play, would Ty be the starting tailback?

“I mean, I think we’ve thoroughly plowed that ground too. There’s a lot of players that are hungry to get carries, and multiple backs would.”
I understand, I was just wondering who would start. Sounds like it would be Ty then.

Okay, forget it.
“Well, no. I mean–”
No, forget it. I just wondered who would start, that's all.
“Two things, And number one is I'd love to have that information from the opposition each week: Who’s really going to start, what role are they going to be in, how are you going to use them, what will they be effective at. But we don't get that information, so why would we be in a position to give that information – I know you want it but I would want it to.
“And the other thing is really unless it's the quarterback we don't have any kind of who's the starter, who's not the starter. I understand completely people wanting to talk about the quarterback and understand that's a part of football, but when it comes to other-“
