Woof that's the best they can put out there?

Not just the pic, but I can't believe the delusion of the caliber of players Harbrau is recruiting and thinking this will bring him back to the top. It seems like he's tossing darts blindly at a dart board hoping someone will stick, and to be safe going after the low hanging fruit and appeasing the delusional fam base by saying "but we're *ichi%an" any player we get will be a star

Walker/McCall/Hill>>>Davis
But you know Harbrau got him and he's from SEC country so they should be happy...

Ick...it's bad enough that I see my name on SEC jerseys all the time, now I have to see it on a scUM jersey. And so soon after missing out on the opportunity to see it on an OSU jersey?!

Davis is a former high school teammate of 2015 signee Keith Washington, and Michigan will hold one of their satellite camps at Prattville in June.
They spend an awful lot of energy to land specific recruits/players....most of which aren't that good.

It's funny reading mgoblog regarding Davis.

Davis isn't yet regarded as a big-time recruit, though he looks like a player who could move up quickly upon further evaluation.

Just wait, you'll see!

Rivals currently lists him as the #24 prospect in Alabama, but their AlabamaVarsity outlet ranked him as the #16 recruit in the state in February.

You might think #24 is a bit discouraging in a population poor, talent poor state like Alabama, but have no fear because some other site ranks him #16!

The four sites are in general agreement regarding Davis' size, and he's a bruiser at 6'1", 230-ish pounds. Michigan is recruiting him as a running back, not a fullback, which gives you an idea of the type of size Jim Harbaugh envisions his offense having in a couple years.

De'Veon Smith, Derrick Green, and Ty Isaac are all pretty much the same exact size, which is interesting. I guess they really are giving up on the next season or two?

Forget about the #1 overall back currently on our roster who's the same exact size, this 3-star kid from Alabama who doesn't perform well in camp settings and plays against garbage competition is really going to show what Harbaugh can do once he cracks the lineup!

Sidebar: As I was looking up heights and weights for their current RBs, I noticed they have 7 FBs and 8 QBs listed on their roster.

Power backs aren't usually the type to stand out in a camp setting, when they're running routes, not smashing between the tackles, so that's an encouraging sign for Davis' potential as an every-down back.

Um, okay? First, talented players stand out at camp regardless of their size. See: Kareem Walker.

Second, how is this any different than what Hoke was trying to do and failing spectacularly at?

If you want to dominate by playing smash mouth football like Alabama, you need to have significantly better talent than the teams you're playing against.

Last time I checked, Alabama lands the best RBs in the county every single year... and they still struggle without a competent game manager at QB.

OMGharbaugh! better be a magician of player development, because he's not playing in the PAC-10 anymore.
