ttun Shenanigans and Arguments (2015 official thread)

I don't think the schools are allowed to comment on recruits, so we'll never officially know. But I think it's pretty obvious why they dropped him. But at least he wasn't already enrolled, so he's still got time. I read Northwestern was a probable destination for him, so that's not a bad trade off in regards to diplomas.
Could you explain the obvious for me, I'm not getting it? Did he not improve over his HS career? Is there somebody better on the radar? Does the Brau hate Laplanders?

I googled--couldn't find any arrest reports. And if Northwestern is an option, guessing it isn't academics. So, second that motion: what's obvious?
It seems to be performance (on field) based. Which is fine, it happens all the time, almost everywhere. Kids get offers pulled, or are gently nudged into looking in another direction...it's part of the business. But not even giving them a hint that it could be coming, and pulling an offer 3 weeks before NLOID, is just a shitty thing to do. Especially to a kid that has been committed for a very long time. It's not a good look...at all.

There have been rumors about it since Christmas. More shocking it took as long as it did, but not shocking he won't be part of the class. The timing stinks, but he still has a couple months to choose somewhere else. NSD is only the first day to sign papers. But everything is just speculation. Will be interested to see who takes his spot.

I said the timing stinks.

But what's the difference in a school pulling an offer at this time and two big time recruits flipping from one school to the other at the same time? We feel bad for the kid who lost his scholarship, but we celebrate the other kids who left a school out to dry. You can't pamper one side and not the other. It's either shitty both ways or just business.

Guys making $5 million per year are held to a higher standard than 17 year old kids.

You're right. It is shitty both ways. Which means, the way you're down playing is shitty.
