ttun Shenanigans and Arguments (2015 official thread)

Darboh and Chesson have another year of eligibility. I suspect both will be back. I agree on Butt--he'd be a fool to return.

Butt would be a huge loss, considering how big he was in their offense this year and how much hairball loves the TE. Whoever theyd trot out there next year would have very little to no experience.

So the one good corner, forget his name, is he eligible to go NFL?
Yes, Jourdan Lewis, CB, from Cass Tech. He and Butt are both eligible. It's also a very thin class for CBs, which will make Lewis (and Apple) a major threat to declare. Mid-season he said he was returning but there's a lot of time for conversations with agents, handlers and family to change that.

Yet another Michigan meme that died quickly. Their fans used to trash Cass Tech recruits as future busts because Lloyd, RR & Brady developed them poorly (like hundreds of players from all areas). Never mind what Gholston, Barksdale, Gholston did elsewhere. The minute they get a top coach, the cass tech talent suddenly proves useful. He'll probably be tackling another cass tech player in Weber next year and being compared to Webb who will be a 4 year fixture of the OSU secondary.

if they lose Butt and Lewis then the only other guy I saw on the field with real talent was the LT and Peppers.

add a new QB to a lack of top end talent, with road trips to EL and Columbus and I think they are looking at another typical tsun 3-4 loss season at best

Again, Michigan is very archaic and stupid when it comes to eligibility listings. These are the only guys they can't bring back:

QB Rudock
FB Houma
FB Kerridge
TE Williams
OC Glasgow
DE Ojemudia (though they may try for a medical RS when he shouldn't be eligible)
LB Morgan
LB Bolden
LB Ross
LB Jenkins Stone
FS Wilson
P O'Neill

The rest of the "seniors" are actually redshirt juniors.

Didn't they get about seven or eight years out of Gardner, or did it just seem that way?

As a true freshman in 2010, he played in September as the backup. He moved back to the bench and third string when Forcier left the doghouse. Later in the year they started talking up some back injury but he kept dressing and traveling on the limited road squads. It was early enough to qualify for the medical redshirt requirements even though everyone knew it was a farce.

As such he played in 5 straight seasons.

To him, it probably felt like a lifetime after taking the punishment his OL let him have every game.
