ttun Shenanigans and Arguments (2015 official thread)

They only have two, maybe two and a half of those on their schedule. Good play from the tight ends. Decent o line, better than most d line, Peppers proved to be legit, I can see them winning 8 or 9.

2.6 yards per carry......run blocking not so decent. They are gonna be in big trouble of they are having to throw 35-40 times per game.

Peppers looked good taking on terrible blocking by Utah receivers. The utah receivers made zero attempt to block him on two of those plays. They just kind of jogged in his general direction.

He looked bad in coverage. A 5'9" 160lb True Freshman two star out of provo utah burned him three times. Seems like a downhill runstopper, not a ball hawk coverage guy.

This Michigan team looks completely different from the Brady Joke teams. Disciplined, businesslike on the field, no stupid posturing or gum-flapping. And losing by a touchdown to a very good Utah team isn't really anything to be ashamed of.

There's a lot of progress this team needs to make, but by the end of the season they'll be a formidable opponent. This season, the rivalry will not be a foregone conclusion IMO.

It's fashionable here to make fun of Harbaugh, but he's undeniably a very good coach. It will be interesting to see whether players, coaches and administrators (not to mention fans) can put up with his shit long enough for him to rebuild Wolverine football.

I love reading the mgoblog game predictions each week, mainly because no matter how horrible things have been up there for the past decade or so, the game predictions are always laughably optimistic. Last night's didn't disappoint (what actually happened is in red):

Finally, three opportunities for me to look stupid Friday:

  • De'Veon Smith rushes for 80 yards on 18-ish carries.
Smith actually ran for about half that (47 yards) on 18-ish carries (he had 17).
  • Drake Harris only catches three passes, but one of them helps swing the game.
Harris had zero catches. The jury's still out on whether he helped swing the game.
  • Jabrill Peppers makes the Sportscenter Top Ten.
The only time I recall hearing Peppers' name was when he was flagged for a 15 yard pass interference penalty.
  • Michigan, 26-18
. Try a loss for HARBAUGH!

Disagree. Looked just like the Hoke teams to me. Pretty decent defense, couldn't run the ball effectively, dumpster fire at quarterback. A loss.

8 seems about right, but I think the schedule is downplayed a bit. Any of BYU, Maryland, Minnesota, Rutgers, PSU can beat them. Throw in the 2 games they should lose and the 1 game they've already lost... missing bowl season again isn't out of the cards.
UNLV, Indiana, Northwestern, and Oregon State are their only freebies.
I expect them to win the next 2 games, and then we'll start to see how much improvement has been made against BYU and Maryland.

Their OL cannot move people and their DL cannot get to the qb.

Peppers is active. It's good that he moved to safety where he can be disruptive because his coverage is not his strong suit (he's always been raw there).
