I disagree. Pop wants to be a curmudgeon and embraces that approach. His answers are intentionally terse to the point of being comedic. Harbaugh was just awkwardly mumbling and stammering while not answering a single question coherently.

My TSUN "friend" told me that he thought Jimbo played this interview that way on purpose, basically because he is a mad genius, and none of us are smart enough to really know what his end game is. Allrightythen.

In all seriousness, I think the part of this that bothers people so much is the fact that it is virtually unbelievable that anyone could possibly be that aloof without trying to be. Its like Harbrau decided the awkward, goofy character would be a good one to be, so he created this a-hole persona and everyone sees that it's nothing more than an act...... right? This IS an act......right?

Listening to a few minutes of the Paul Finebaum show makes it very difficult to argue that the dumbest fanbase doesn't reside in the deep south somewhere. However, when you look at the scUM fanbase's history for "calling their shots" and arrogant refusal to not see everything/everyone involved with their dinosaur program as the next big thing/world's greatest coach, I have to hand it to them. It's just astounding how wrong they've been about everything, even when others could see what was coming from miles away.
