The last O-line class and this one (assuming it holds or even improves) are pretty ridiculous.

This Warriner guy seems pretty good

Edit: let's include the last two before this one

Anybody have a football simulator game? Make two rosters. Give every player on one roster a 93 rating. Give every player on the other roster a 90 rating. See which team wins 15 out of 16 times.

Now give Team 1 a QB with a 99 rating. Now see which team wins by 4 touchdowns.

Winning in CFB is a lot simpler than most people think.
And to really complete the simulation, let a human player coach against the computer.

If you count kids on the roster and those committed for next year OSU has SIX 5 star OL. Make it SEVEN if we land Lathan.

Well if football doesn't work out they can always get a Glee reunion going with this recruiting strategy.

Well, DFBIA will argue that there's no real disparity because the average overall rank from them is 296.55 while Ohio State's is 290.72 and they actually have a better average position ranking (20.50 vice 21.39). But they overlook the fact that have only one player ranked in the top 2 at his position, while Ohio State has 8. The also have only 6 ranked in the top 10 at their position, while Ohio State has 10. And the only reason while the overall and position averages are how they are is becasue we took 2 guys outside the top 1000 in overall rankings. Take them out and the average changes drastically: Ohio State's overall player rating goes from 290.72 to 190.88 (almost a 100-point jump) and position average rating goes from 21.39 to 13.19. Taking the top 15 for each school, their overall average ranking is 207.07 and Ohio State's is 121.21, and the average position ranking for them is 13.43 and Ohio State's is 9.14.

On top of that, I'm guessing Dawand Jones is one of the two ranked in the thousands and he looks like a potential starter. So, even our biggest "reach" looks like a hit.

I mean, really, you can't make this stuff up....

So, the same neanderthals that have convinced themselves that FL three stars are better than any other four stars because of the competition they face are currently deluding themselves into believing that establishing dominance in New England, a historically weak recruiting ground, is a great thing. Remarkable. DFBIA, indeed.

Christ(and this post isn't to talk negative about the actual recruits), but what a level of mediocrity in that DB board. If those are the guys they think will stop the 2020 WR signees, along with Ballard, Harrison(and hopefully Egbuka), then it's going to be another rough go for Hairball & staff in The Game.

MICHIGAN COMMIT TRISTAN BOUNDS: “I WANT TO KICK THE S*** OUT OF OHIO STATE

114461_h.jpg

Michigan hasn't defeated Ohio State or won more than 10 games since 2011, but that hasn't deterred Tristan Bounds' confidence.

A three-star offensive tackle who committed to the Wolverines on Monday, Bounds said in an interview this week with The Wolverine's EJ Holland that his goals for his Michigan career include beating Ohio State, winning national titles and never losing any games.

“After I take a couple days to take it in and realize what I really just did, and that's commit to one of the best universities in the country as well as a football powerhouse, I'm definitely going to get on the recruiting trail hard,” Bounds said on The Wolverine Podcast. “I've been pretty adamant about this. I don't want to lose any games. I want to win national championships. I want to kick the s*** out of Ohio State. Those are my goals. The best class that we can get is going to help us do that.”

Bounds, a Connecticut native, is currently ranked as the No. 663 overall prospect in 247Sports' composite rankings for the class of 2021, more than 250 spots lower than any of Ohio State's 2021 commits with the exception of Australian punter Jesse Mirco.
