I guess Michigan football will continue to have players in coming years.
Who knew.
I'm a broken record with this, but the biggest difference between us and them is standards. We look at the occasional 3* commit and say "hey, that could be the next Olave." Because we've taken 3* WRs and turned them into All-american 1st round draft pics. We also haul in a bevy of 5* and do the same with them.Their main competition for him was Illinois......Doesnt even crack the top 50 at the WR position (#61 WR in the composite)
Huge Boom! I guess at least he slides into the top 500 overall (#491) DFBIA seems to use the top 500 as a "good" mark these days.
Not that it really matters much on this one in the long run. WR position is essentially meaningless for them with how they play. We've seen what Harbaugh and Co do to higher rated ones. They get a stiffy over guys like this because of the before mentioned Ronnie Bell, who is their compass of "great WR"
He’s also been on vacation for several weeks while other schools are holding camps and recruiting like crazy. Several kids have said that they don’t get recruited hard by the school, and it’s obvious that the assistants are following the lead from the HC. He’s a disasterWhy would any great recruit commit to TSUN when the coach is not committed to the school? He tried to get out and failed. He got a five year extension but there’s such a small buyout for him to leave that he’ll be shopping himself to the nfl again every offseason. It’s such a messed up situation… I love it.
If he goes 9-4 or 10-3, he'll be legs akimbo for any NFL opening out there again.Well, at least Harbaugh is THEIR disaster. The Xichigan cache is waning even as we speak. Guess the sports propaganda machine is working overtime to put forth the idea that a 3* from Rhode Island is the next XXXXX now in the NFL. Even some of the maize and blue supporters that I play golf with are ready to throw Jimmy to the wolves. Still can't see the powers that be tossing him out, which is a drawback when one hires a 'legend'. Even if he's given the 'executive stiletto', he'll just smirk and leave on his own terms. Can't believe that the NFL teams would consider him, although (grudgingly) he has a good track record in the NFL. I hope he stays, as 1) he doesn't recruit well against the Buckeyes; 2) except for last year's win, he's been a coaching joke; 3) can't think of anything else now....but it's there. Go Bucks!
This is a pretty funny overly optimistic outlook
