Go to 247Sports' recruiting page and you won't see M*chigan there--at all--until you click the link at the bottom to see teams ranked 51-100...and that's with their new commit Bridgeman.

Yep, lol. It's July and they are sandwiched between Vanderbilt & Oklahoma State in the team recruiting rankings. Finishing in the 20-25 range is the most realistic possible outlook, if they can hit on all of those options remaining. They aren't going to hit any sudden major momentum and sway any upper level guys. There's a pretty solid chance they don't end up cracking the top 25 when it's all said and done.

DFBIA will argue that they are low in the team rankings because they only have 8 commits, yes this is technically true, but if you go by average recruit ranking, they are tied for 31st with Nebraska. The quality is not there at all. Iowa just recently moved ahead of them here, so they are tied for 5th in the B1G (with Nebraska) and barely holding ahead of Northwestern. YEAR 8 and they are recruiting on par with Nebraska & Northwestern.

Even If you added the 6 favorable crystal balls (a couple of these are very low confidence with only 1/2 predictions) currently that they have. They'd end up with 14 commits' at 202.92 overall points. That would still only put them at 15th at this moment.

The Harbrau is that guy that took the money, then starts showing up to work doing the absolute bare minimum until his lack of productivity leads to them paying his ass more money to just go away.
The first step is Harbaugh being the guy who gave everyone the double middle finger salute on the way out the door on a Friday loudly shouting about their new job, only to slink back to the office on Monday to quietly sit in the corner and hope everyone forgets how badly they just humiliated themself… then proceeding to do the bare minimum coasting on the freshly guaranteed contract money.

It’s a magical combination of workplace dysfunction.

Delusion still runs rampant over there.

They think they are a legit contender for Jalen Brown - All crystal balls are either for LSU or Da U. Calls Texas and FSU "hats on the table" but that's all Michigan is as well.

It will be funny if Etta sways to Michigan State at the last minute. That would cause their heads to explode over NIL.

Collins Acheampong delaying his decision a week makes me think he's Da U bound.

I love the "Dante Moore will never play for anything meaningful in Eugene" type statements............like that would happen at Michigan either.

Also their Oline recruiting is a DISASTER at the moment

Even the 3* guys they had tabbed are now trending elsewhere. They are sitting on 0 OL commits' with only 1 looking like they are sure to get (Amir Herring who is #283 overall)

If you're having trouble visualizing the gap being created this year...

This is why it's funny when they cheer finishing in the 20-25 range as a "victory". Theres no reason to expect their recruiting to be any better for 2024 either, unless they somehow pull a rabbit out of a hat and win a national title (LOL). This class will really really hurt them in 2/3 years.
