Come in, get paid, demand to redshirt so he doesn’t look terrible surrounded by bums next year, transfer to LSU and get paid again.

Pre NIL this absolutely woulda been a possible landscape shaking thing, if it was organic. With NIL it’s not though. This is purely a $$$ acquisition. You still have a coaching staff who has to prove they aren’t in over their heads, they had nothing to do with this. Underwood might bring along a couple of his buddies but in the end it’s gonna take a lot more money for Michigan to convince any other high level guys to jump on board.

Other than surrounding talent that sounds like the Ewers' blueprint if I've ever heard it. But in this instance, I hope he takes the money and runs for his own sake.

Exactly what was my on my mind. Throw money out before the lack of institutional control sanctions come down, probably not a coincidence. I'm probably swimming into the ttun recruiting thread, but I think that's what is happening here with Underwood.
