ttun recruiting (all classes)

Won't be long before DFBIA is coming up with mental gymnastics about how this kid is "actually better than Scott"
“if he wasn’t 5’8” 155lbs. he’d be a five star”

Edit:

From this thread, where they are hopeful about an in-state Northwestern decommit who flipped to UCLA before the ink even dried on the original post.

I've watched a little of Lowe's tape. He is someone who is going to fly up the rankings in due time.
I don’t know how much the rankings move for seniors after the summer camp evaluation period is over, but a bump from 1085 to 700 just because he committed to Michigan would definitely get DFBIA fired up about their scouting prowess.

What does "very high 3 star" even really mean/matter anymore. Considering there are freaking 446 4* at the moment in the 2023 247 Composite rankings. If they aren't cracking the 4* threshold, they are more than likely a big project. Heck even being a 4* doesn't really mean what it used to, not all 4* are created equal at all.

Someone please confirm this...if Hairball actually allowed this to be served at a "BBQ", we might want to make a call to those in attendance if we actually want them.

Add Joziah Edmond to the "Aaron Scott Replacement" List

3* #723 OVR #75 CB

From a peripheral overview, ttun fans are not handling this well after truly believing they were getting West and Scott, especially Scott. Shame they put all their CB eggs in one basket. I have seen so many of their fans say "won't matter because of our elite WRs", I am just thinking "name one"...they have a 3* nobody and a kid that is borderline 4* committed right now, and I can't think of one WR other than Roman Wilson coming back that is worth mentioning.

Regardless, they are in full-blown denial mode right now after West and Scott.

Remember, Last year during the summer they were legit talking that their WRs were "The best group in the B1G" the elite WR talk has been going on for a few years but it's really pure delusion. On paper there are no elite recruits there at that position for them, and production wise nobody on their roster has shown they are even above average. This is another instance of them confusing just having lots of bodies with having elite great depth.

If Clink and the Michigan coaching staff believe these kids are underrated by the recruiting services and have the potential to be developed into great corners, then I believe them

They are just "underrated" and Clink knows it!!! Couldn't be that they put all their eggs into the West/Scott basket, whiffed on both and are now scrambling to find spot fillers.

*glances uncomfortably at Ohio State DE recruiting*

Good. They deserve nothing but the worst life has to offer.

Same question I ask some of our own when they start the "just a flesh wound/fall back guys are just as good" stuff: Then why did the staff prioritize the guy they missed on?

If fall back guy is just as good, why not save the recruiting resources and NIL money, get the lower rated guy quick and focus elsewhere? Its a rhetorical question. They prioritized the higher rated kid because they know he's better. Fall backs are fall backs. You may get lucky and hit a home run with one but he was still a fall back after you missed on the kid you wanted more.
