With all due respect guys, the computers still rank Ohio State and Sparty in the top 3 and the B1G as the tougest conference.

Many solid teams can produce a top conference despite no truly strong teams. Sparty, OSU and UM would have been absolutely worked by many of the top 2-3 big ten teams of recent years.

My subjective opinion is the computers are factoring in the early season OSU team and not the team they currently are. I understand why they do it, all games count etc etc etc but a team either gets better or it gets worse and this team has gotten worse. Much worse.

The fact an OSU loss tomorrow would deprive scUM of a shared conference title is about the best we could ask for at this point given the way the wheels have come off this particular season. If OSU should win its going to feel terrible knowing they gave scUM a portion of a title they did not deserve but I don't think we'll have to spend a lot of time thinking about that.

Regardless of what you say about Missouri, Kansas, Duke, UNC, I'd take them (not to mention quite a few other teams) on a neutral floor over scUM. And yet scUM is an OSU win tomorrow away from sharing in the Big Ten conference crown. That's weakness at the top, IMO.

I would too, but the comment is that the Big Ten is particularly weak at the top and it is my opinion that scUM, although in a three-way tie at the top of the Big Ten if we win today, is the third best of those three teams that would be atop the Big Ten. I assume that you agree, so your comparison shouldn't be scUM vs. Mizzou, Kansas, Duke, or UNC; it should be scUM vs. the likes of Baylor, Notre Dame, Florida State, etc.

Agreed with everything here. I guess we just have to hope scUM trips over itself tomorrow at PSU and then OSU beats MSU, which would give OSU and MSU the shared title.
