ttun basketball (Juwan out, Dusty May in)

I enjoyed the documentary

As for Grant Hill, Maybe Jalen was right when he and the others called him a bitch. Was it really necessary to write up a 700 word essay on their views of Duke when he was 17 years old

When you get called out as forcefully as Grant Hill was, yes.

It's still his view of Duke now, if you listen to Rose and King on E$PN the other day.

This one is far and away my favorite:

If u r lucky, one day u will b a rich former athlete (Jalen Rose/Craig James) & ESPN will give u a platform to carry out personal vendettas

I like this one too:

"This whole ordeal speaks to how f---ing backward we are. We think no-daddy and ignorant = black culture. WE think it. Not the KKK. US. "

My three favorite humans of the day are Grant Hill, Thad Matta and Jason Whitlock.

Show the Fraud Five for the bunch of overrated, classless, do-nothings that they are. I love the fact that they're the zenith of scUM basketball. May you weasels always bask in their vacated glory.

Jalen also said he understands why Duke doesn't recruit kids like that because Duke doesn't want kids selling rings and merchandise and stuff.

Then he says Duke is wrong to not recruit kids like that.
 what a laughable , juvenile comment. Taking a shot at OSU for cheating as the most infamous cheaters in cbb in a generation.

But even more absurd, trashing the peerless duke dynasty in favor of recruiting real black players who would cheat. Yeah clearly coach k should have followed fischer's model, the one that destroyed um bball for two decades. What an ego.

Rose said he believed the only African American players Duke Coach Mike Krzyzewski recruited were ?Uncle Toms.?

In discussing the movie since its production, Rose explained his thinking has changed with maturity, but he seemed to hold firm to his flawed belief that the experiences of some African Americans are ?more black? than those of others. The premise, misguided as it is, asserts that academic achievement, professional accomplishment and affluence somehow reduces or eliminates a person?s ?blackness.?

Bobby hurley continues to absolutely own jalen's fab five
like always....

"I noticed there was a high level of bitterness there, particularly directed towards us," former Duke guard Bobby Hurley said on Dan Patrick's show Monday. "I wonder why? We were 3-0 vs. Michigan, so I can understand Jalen's frustrations."
Besides the on-court rivalry, Rose said in the film he felt Duke didn't recruit black players like him, only those who were "Uncle Toms." Patrick pointed out that Duke did recruit Chris Webber.
"We would've welcomed him with open arms," Hurley said. "Jalen, on the other hand, I can understand why we didn't recruit him. He might have a tough time hitting the floor, because he wasn't taking my spot."
"Jimmy King didn't really think that I really had any game, which I don't understand. I mean, I had 26 against them in Michigan, the first time we played, so he should have figured that one out by then, but he didn't get it."
And some board commentary :

This game was mysteriously omitted from Jalen's documentary. The sound on this one seems messed up.* But Jalen should know, talk is cheap.

Looking back at past glory only insinuates the lack of it in the present.
