FWIW:

Here's what we know regarding the swirling rumors surrounding Howard.

- M&BR can confirm through multiple sources that a physical altercation between Howard and an assistant DID NOT occur on Thursday as originally rumored.

- Howard is NOT set to step down or be fired, which has been confirmed through multiple sources.

Sources have used the words 'unequivocally false' and 'all nonsense' when asked about the rumors surrounding Howard.

M&BR can confirm that a verbal altercation occurred between Howard and an assistant on Thursday, which did not turn physical like social media rumors suggest.

Didn't they supposedly put him on some kind of pitch count for fighting the last time?

Or did his incredibly genuine and heartfelt Twitter apology rest the clock?

I ask because most places of work have a policy governing how many coworkers/colleagues you can physically assault in one career.
They're still in the circle the wagons and have our in-house media lackeys try and get a story out that it wasn't a physical confrontation.

"just because a couple of very sloppy punches were thrown does not mean that the altercation was totally physical in nature"

Interesting tidbit from the Detroit Free Press about the genteel coach's contract:

It's worth noting Howard, who has had a history of both physical and verbal altercations, has a "zero tolerance policy" " in his contract. That dates back to his most infamous kerfuffle at Wisconsin in February of 2022, when Howard took exception after Greg Gard calling a late timeout with a double digit lead.
