ttun basketball (Juwan out, Dusty May in)

Stauskas's stat line over the last 5 games would qualify him for Club Trillion.

Meanwhile, the Wolverines 2015-16 edition is ranked 34 by kenpom, about 16 spots higher than the Buckeyes. I'm thinking by the time we play them, we'll be higher than they will.

This year's Michigan team is a good example of how soft the NCAA tournament field has become with the inclusion of 68 teams. Michigan will make the tournament, but no one will confuse them with a good team. Other than a win at home against Maryland (which home upsets happen regularly in college basketball--hell, OSU almost knocked off Maryland in Columbus), they have zero good wins. What is their next best win? At Nebraska?

Besides Maryland at home, they've gotten crushed by every good team they've played: Xavier, UConn, SMU, Iowa, Purdue, Michigan State, Indiana. All loses, and none of them were close games.

I really do not understand how the bracket "experts" see these assholes getting into the tournament when they cannot even beat us even though it was on our home court. They belong in the NIT (with a may be) just like we do.

Yeah, I'm scratching my head on that one as well. Their record's not good (20-11 overall, 10-8 in conference, which is good for 8th place), both of their quality wins were at home, and they're 3-6 in their last nine games. Hell, we beat them by double digits.

Don't get it either. I still can't believe how Beilein squandered that two year run of a NC game and Elite Eight appearance.

Bball fans are torn right now in regards to the program. Some want Beilein to stay because they don't think there is anyone better out there and he runs a "clean" program. The only reason Michigan isn't getting better recruits is because JB doesn't do anything shady and stays above board. Basically everybody cheats but us. Others think he's hit his ceiling and they'll never be any better than a deep run or two every 10 years.

Personally, I think he's hit his ceiling. He's done a great job pulling UM out of the much of the Ellerbe/Amaker era, but it's time to go in a different direction. The teams he puts together are generally soft, unathletic, and live and die by the three. The two year run had guys who would get in there and do the dirty work like Morgan and Mitch. Super athletic like GR3 and Hardaway, a true leader on the court in Burke.

Irvin has regressed over the years and LeVert hasn't put a full season together in two years. I'm shocked they are even in the conversation right now.

No, the two year run was the product of being on the right side of the "live and die by the three" equation. Burke hit a 1-in-1,000 shot after Kansas absolutely choked at the free throw line to even make that game reachable for Michigan in regulation. Otherwise, you lose in the Sweet Sixteen. That team was typical Beilein, it just happened to catch lightning in a bottle.
