ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Michigan has picked Brady Hoke as its new football coach.
Athletic director Dave Brandon announced the decision Tuesday, hours after LSU said Les Miles would be staying with the Tigers.
Hoke coached San Diego State in 2009-10 and was the Ball State coach from 2003-08. He will be introduced at a news conference in Ann Arbor on Wednesday.
He replaces Rich Rodriguez, who was fired last week after three disappointing seasons.

It's on ESPN.com now, so you can be sure that Hoke isn't the new HC at Michigan.

Wouldn't it be fun if, at the last minute, SDSU was able to match/out bid Michigan and Hoke also says "No thanks, I'm gonna stay put."? I just might pee my pants giggling if that happens.

Or a video shows up of Hoke, Pee Wee Herman and and a sheep in compromising positions in a cheap hotel in Orange County.

Probably the best hire scum could make have JH turned them down, but this exercise is still a big bag of fail. I wonder if he can get some of his SD recruiting class to follow him to scum?

I truely believe Miles wanted the job and Hoke was chosen over him.... thats my opinion...I dont think this is a bad hire at all. While it doesnt make a splash its very similar to Tress over Glen Mason IMO minus 4 nc's. Rome was blasting Ohio State when they pulled the trigger in 00 now look at where we are. Im not saying he is Tress by any means but he prolly blew up in the interview.


Beating Rich Rod was not nearly as fun as beating LLLLoyd...simply because LLLoyd was on the sidelines with a smug look on his face all through the 90's and Tress smacked it the fuck off. A Michigan man is back, one that knows the meaning of The Game and knows the pain of losing it. Rich Rod was a mouth breather that had no idea what getting his ass beat by tOSU meant. I like it....

I agree with this part.

All good and fun to bust balls but in reality I think Brandon gave Miles a token visit and went and signed his guy. I think hoke will have success in a few years and I also think it shows us scUM doesn't have a completely incompetent AD anymore.

I honestly do not think its that bad of a hire. I would of much rather had them bring in Les Miles.
