What are reasons for top notch coaches to not want to coach at Michigan?
They don't think they're good enough to coach here or don't want to deal with the immense pressure of coaching at the winningest program in NCAA history.

Never hope for anything good for these scumbags. Ever. Fuck N_tre _ame, I hope they become SMU, circa 1988.

This circus has been fun to watch. I am going to be a bit sad when it all ends.

Wouldn't it be fun if, at the last minute, SDSU was able to match/out bid Michigan and Hoke also says "No thanks, I'm gonna stay put."? I just might pee my pants giggling if that happens.

Looking at all the options, it'd seem like Brady Hoke would be the best fit for the program.

If you want to re-ignite the rivalry, I think you need someone that is going to care about it as much as Tressel does. I don't think that is Miles or any outsider to the program.

If you want Michigan to compete for B-10 championships, the road comes straight through Columbus Ohio. We found out with Cooper that making the National Championship game or having a B-10 title is impossible unless you can beat Michigan.

SDSU was a very competitve program this year. Their 4 losses came to teams that made great bowl games in Missouri (lost by 3), BYU (lost by 3 in OT), TCU (lost by 5), and Utah (lost by 4). I think he has a lot of Tressel-esque upside with him. He's also played up to some great competition while at Ball State, losing to Nebby by 1 point in 2007, and beating Indiana by better margins than Rodriguez ever had (which in and of itself is an incredible metric).

So yeah, I think Hoke has the makings of a good hire. It'll take about 2 years to get out of the hole RichRod dug (Hoke runs a pro-style offense and a unique D, it seems), but I think that by year 3, they could be competing with Nebby at the top of the B-10 division they are in (what division are they in? 'Coons and Goons?)

Well I'm very sure the coach for Michigan in 2011 will be Brady Hoke. It may not be the home run everybody was looking for, but he loves Michigan and will pour his heart into this program.

Im no Michigan apologist but Hoke was the best hire if it happens outside of Hairball I think its a good choice...he went 12 and fucking 1 with Ball State that alone should get him a job
