Grand Valley's one of my schools now too.....I shamelessly and without reservation jumped the bandwagon at the beginning of last year's football season when my brother started school there. Their basketball win over MSU is LOADS of fun, absolutely, but I think we'll eventually see the same situation as with football where MSU beats UM in basketball anyway, and then we can't really call them out on it any more. But it'll be fun while it lasts.Wingate1217;982356; said:Maybe a little longer. It isn't like you lost to one of my schools, Grand Valley in roundball. They don't call them the Lakers for nothing. I think Sparty thought they were playing Kobe and the LA Lakers...![]()
There are three. Virginia Tech is the biggie, the in-state rivalry, and it looks like this year's game will decide the Coastal Division. Glad it's in C-ville this year. Maryland is a big one because typically the two schools are dead even in both football and basketball. UNC is the South's Oldest Rivalry and it's usually very gentlemanly though it took on a little spice when Ronald Curry was playing there. As a Cavs fan,
what rivalries do YOU look to?
As for the Wake Forest game, as usual I didn't get to watch, only follow on GameCast.
Man, you said it. Twice. Mario got open deep quite a lot and Chad must have overthrown him four or five times. His shoulder must be OK.I've never seen Chad overthrow Mario so much. Missed him in the Illinois game, a couple of other times before today too. Ridiculous.
Shawn Crable is a beast for catching Ringer on that one play.
And that Crable play won't make any news because MSU ended up scoring anyway, but the hustle he showed there deserves major credit.
