No, the last decade hasn't been too kind to Michigan but the 90s were good.

1 National Championship *
5 Conference Championships
2 Rose Bowl Wins
1 Orange Bowl Win
2 seasons with no loses
7-3 Bowl Record.
2 Heisman Winners
Got the better of all our rivals

Really shitty decade I tell ya!

You forgot the asterisk. That "national championship" you folks claim from 1997 came with a nice little plaque someone spent two weeks making in wood shop, but let's call it what it was - you won the Big Ten/Pac-10 championship by squeaking past the #6 team in the country, a one-trick pony of a team led by Ryan Leaf. Nebraska beat the hell out of the #3 team in the nation.

While your fans were in Lincoln, I hope some took the time to check out our visitor's center, where they would have seen this:

Sorry, I forget which of these is the operative one for this conversation. It's one of these three.

I'm fully willing to be a gracious host to Wolverine fans over the weekend, and I had a pleasant time talking to a few. But when it comes to this conversation, there is no flexibility. Nebraska would have run roughshod over that 1997 Michigan team. Just ask Peyton Manning.

Really [Mark May]ty decade I tell ya!

I stopped reading when you gave yourself credit for half more of a NC than your team ever earned.

BTW - I await The Game with great anticipation at this point. If Nebraska takes care of business next weekend in East Lansing, watching the Buckeyes dismantle Michigan will be a fantastic cap to the regular season, guaranteeing us a trip to Indianapolis against the Badgers - who just lost Stave for the season.

I love Nebraska fans. However, Michigan didn't need a hell of a lucky break to win a game. A game you guys should have lost. You guys struggled to put Colorado away. Michigan held that same Colorado team to 3 points that season.

You may have been right with Nebraska killing Michigan. However, how many games have we seen where the other team is suppose to kill the other only to lose that game. Plus Michigan's defense was special that year.

Have nothing but respect for Nebraska. Great program and cool fans.

are you sure you want to go back to the Rose Bowl? I would think it would bring back back memories from earlier this year.

Michigan's defense is often "special."

I know you act like a douche bag toward me and will probably discredit anything that Michigan does that is positive. Which is fine since this is a buckeye board. Seriously though, it was a good decade with or without that National Championship.

You make a claim (1 NC in the 90s) that is not true. I point it out, and you resort to name calling. Michigan Man indeed.

He didn't technically call you a douchebag. Just said you act like one towards him.
