I hear ya, I've literally killed thousands in Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare, sometimes I ask myself, what am I doing...all this bloodshed? Then I remind myself that these guys are terrorists and we don't negotiate with terrorists.

Fixed it for ya... It's all in the presentation!

Well hell, if I knew this is all it took to avoid laws I would have started a long time ago.

Officer I know I was speeding, but there just isn't enough time in the day.

Buckyle's "not enough time in the day" was in reference to the suggestion of starting construction later in the day, not to the idea of speeding through school zones.

And to those who are taking shots at truck drivers in general...fuck you. ... I hear people bitch "they think they own the road"...guess what? THEY DO!
No, actually, they don't.

I for one am tired of subsidizing the trucking industry through my gasoline taxes. And yes, I've heard the common refrain about how much taxes a typical trucker pays; so TF what? They create far more road damage than they pay for. And this tragic incident illustrates just how much damage a truck can do to human flesh.

The trucking industry nearly put rail freight out of business before rising fuel prices started to swing the pendulum back into nearer equilibrium. I have no love for the trucking industry. Has nothing to do with drivers' education level, native intelligence, average dental condition, or anything of the sort.

Individual truckers are no better nor worse than individual accountants, sales clerks, dentists, or shift laborers. But the trucking industry has been cut way too much slack.

[/rant off]I'm just in a foul mood about this whole incident. My family knows the family of the kid who was badly injured. God bless the crossing guard, and bless her family who must deal with her tragic loss.

First, I'm sorry the situation happened, and that you knew the kid.

But, yes, they do. What do you do if a semi cuts you off? Rev up your accord and battle to the death? No, you get the fuck out of the way.

My point was more about dump trucks and such. Tell me, where is the train track that runs by every new building project? I'll save the time for any truck drivers that may be having someone read this to them...It's not there. Dump trucks are necessary, that's why they are allowed to do the damage to the road. It definately doesn't excuse shit drivers though.

Of course not. If there's no cop around, you just yell at them, and when they pull over, citizens arrest them.

I still can't believe you are still trying to justify and validate this prick's actions, as if the crossing guard and everyone else in a car smaller than his should alter their actions to accomodate his reckless negligence.
