As long as the water don't get you, the rest is luck.

I have lived in the same house for 20 years.. third week I came home from work and there's a news van in the neighbors driveway and a super cell had rolled up my street depositing fir trees on about every 4th house. They were all live xmas trees from the 50s.

Had the power out a week 4 times, I have a pro chainsaw for a reason, but keep dodging the bullets.

Best wishes and good luck

Damn, they just upped Ida’s winds to 145 mph. It’s a real beast.

Thoughts and prayers for those in Montegut, Houma, everybody in Terrebonne Parish and all of southern Louisiana.

I knew that from your podcasts, that’s why I listed it first. I see a listed elevation of 7 feet above sea level, and the surge will be well above that. Terrifying stuff.

A. thanks for listening. we really appreciate it.

B. 7 is probably somewhere on the higher end for us (assuming they just counting the town itself). My dad’s place is probably about 7’ or so. My yard is a little over 3’. and the floor of my house is right at 6’.
