I've been through hurricanes a fair few times; none have affected me as much as tropical storm eta. It's dumped a foot of rain (on average) on south florida; the ponds have risen several feet, including the one behind my house. If it rises another foot, I'll have water in my house. I am going to sign off and start moving things upstairs.

welp, as of now, this one is about as “worst case scenario” as can be for my place.

a wobble one direction or the other could possibly lessen things But a Cat 4 hitting in that spot is going to be really bad for a large area.

Terrebonne Parish, Lafourche Parish, southern end of Plaquemines Parish are about to get wrecked.

Me, wife, and short kid are in Texas for this one.
Unfortunately my parents stayed home as did my older sister.
