Choking on vomit
It amazes me how much of a challenge it still is to chart where these storms will go.

I'm glad I moved down to Orlando this year
Oof
This is just gonna be an extended thunderstorm around here at worst. For the coast I don't even think this will be as bad as Matthew was if it keeps weakening. You might get a little window rattle on your north/east facing windows if the gusts get high enough, but Orlando metro shouldn't even see much of that.
I feel terrible for The Bahamas, though. Have a former coworker from there and her family is still mostly there (I think on Grand Bahama), so I'm morbidly curious as to how things end up down there. The initial images and videos I've seen have not looked promising, and there are at least 5 confirmed deaths so far.
Unlike. But probably true.there are parts of the Abacos that may be permanently under water after the storm surge.
I just went north of Maui and is head straight toward our North Shore. Winds in Mililani had been dead calm up until a few minutes ago, but now getting some 15-20 MPH breezes. Shit's expected to start hitting the fan in late afternoon/early evening.
