Fuck the Tropics!!!
4 storms in 3 years is enough.

luckily, it doesn't appear any are moving this way at this moment.

2004 we had 4 in 1 year. 2 of the 4 killed power for over a week each. No Katrina's obviously but that year sucked some major wang.

luckily we've never gotten 4 in 1 year.
we've been getting the one-two punch instead.
usually one is a wind event where we stay relatively dry, followed by less wind, but we get the surge.

Isidore then Lili in '02 (7 days apart)
Isidore was weak, but scored a direct hit. Lili was far enough west that we didn't get too much wind, but our levee wasn't tall enough.

Katrina then Rita in '05 (about 3 weeks apart)
Katrina passed only about 50 miles east of here. so we got some the worst weather I've ever seen, but we fortunately got no surge. Rita hit the damn state line a couple hundred miles away, but I got to actually witness our levee collapse under her surge.

Gustav then Ike in '08 (little over a week apart)
eye of Gustav passed over my house at full strength which probably saved us from what would have been the worst surge ever to hit my hoetown.
Ike hit the other side of fucking Houston, yet still managed to find a weak spot in our levee.

I am watching this one closely. I moved down here the day after The Game in 2006 and have been very lucky so far in not experiencing a major hurricane. I am hoping that Bill peters out like a couple did last year that started this strong.

That's what you think of all the women where you live?
